Motivated by a shared dedication to access, dignity, awareness, and opportunity for all, twenty-four (24) esteemed members from across Sacramento County have joined forces to establish the region's first Local Aging & Disability-Friendly Action Plan (LADAP) Action Committee. This dynamic group includes leading experts in aging and disability, influential policy and service leaders, passionate community advocates, and individuals whose lived experiences bring critical insight and authenticity to the work.
The Committee meets quarterly to guide the implementation of LADAP—offering strategic direction, shaping responsive policy, and prioritizing impactful initiatives. Through their efforts, they aim to elevate public awareness of the challenges and opportunities facing older adults and people with disabilities, while fostering a community where every individual can age and live with confidence, respect, and full participation.
