SACRAMENTO, Calif. – On Sept. 5th, the Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services/ Division of Behavioral Health Services (DHHS/DBHS) will honor Senate President pro Tem Darrell Steinberg and five other Mental Health Champions at the Sacramento County Mental Health Board meeting. The six individuals and organizations have made a significant contribution in reducing stigma experienced by people living with mental illness, providing support or treatment to people living with mental illnesses, advocacy for issues related to mental health and/or advancing knowledge in the area of mental illness/health research.
