Description | The HIV Health Services Planning Council is a community planning body whose primary responsibilities include: assessing the needs of people living with HIV in El Dorado, Placer, Yolo and Sacramento Counties; establishing appropriate service priorities; and allocating federal grant funding (as provided under Part A and the Single Allocation Method [formerly known as Part B and the Early Intervention Program]) of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act to pay for the delivery of HIV/AIDS medical and support services for those who otherwise could not afford such services.
The Council meets the fourth Wednesday of every month, except November and December which meets at the beginning of December due to holidays.
